Aquarius is a laboratory under the sea, and is the only one in the world are located in Florida, USA. The laboratory is owned by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and operated by the National Undersea Rsearch Center (NURC). Since 2001, NASA also utilize this facility for the project NEEMO (NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations) who studied various aspects of human life in a foreign environment. Not only sand desert. In some locations there are natural lakes where the water comes from local water sources as well as those derived from the annual rainfall.
